In Defence of the Wild
Friends of the Cam is working with local visual artist, Linda Mayoux, to develop the use of art in river campaigning, through her current projects on the river and on plants. Linda is hosting an Open Day of her work on Saturday 2nd November from 10am to early evening. She is keen to establish a Cambs Environmental Art Network and hopes to start a discussion about this on the day, which will be followed up with more detailed discussions on Sundays 10th, 17th and 24th November 2-6pm around ideas, existing work and potential exhibition plans for the proposed network. She hopes to bring together activists, artists and others who are interested, to keep the art current and relevant. Friends of the Cam will participate in the Open Day and discussions and we look forward to seeing you there. As space is limited, please RSVP to contact@friendsofthecam.org for more details. More information on Linda's work can be found at Zemni Images.
